Build the Parts, Plan the Whole

A good plan can cover 50% of the work needed. A bad plan is better than no plan at all.

One of misconceptions of planning is that the work needed to get it done is a redundancy of the actual work needed. What needs to be appreciated is that plans don't just prepare oneself but acquaints it of the probable failures and challenges as well.

When one skips planning and prefers to approach a situation or a challenge with no foresight or prior planning, the cost of the learning curve is higher and the probability of a bad end is high.

BUILD THE PARTS.

If one is already planning, why is there a need to build the parts?
You see, sometimes the sum of the parts is bigger than the value of the whole. This happens especially when each part is built in such a way that it can also stand on its own. One of the best approach to a challenge is when one is able to breakdown the solution into parts wherein each is addressed separately but with the premise that these parts would eventually create an impact when combined as a whole. The reason behind breaking it into part however is also to anticipate that in an event that one part suddenly encountered problems, it won't affect the others as each are contained into separate sections. This aids damage control and at the same time ensures that there are more than just a "Plan B."

PLAN THE WHOLE.

When one is building the parts, the objective should lean highly on a bigger plot than it functioning as just a part. Although there is an anticipation that each part may not be done or completed, the perspective needs to remain strong on the main objective. This perspective can lead and trigger more planning of contingencies that can address gaps that may arise in the process.

Once this practice is mastered, challenges and troubleshooting may improve and it becomes an exemplary skill that can lead to anxiety and stress management.

When one can build the parts and plan the whole, they can make more of themselves and manage themselves better which will eventually lead to managing anything better.
